2009 CVO Fat Bob
« on: May 01, 2009, 07:58:02 PM »

I now have 200 kilometers on my CVO Fat Bob and it has been in the shop twice, one oil leak at 50 kilometers and now for steering head bearing that is loose and check for EXCESSSIVE heat. I mean real excessive. I can hardly stand to come to a stop . Then the temp management system kicks in and it sounds like it is going to puke. This is the 5th Harley I have owned and also the most expensive,I hope it gets better from here. I have ordered a PC 5 from the good folks at Fuelmotto and will install a set of Vance and Hines double barrel pipes. My question is will adding these to the bike will it help cool things down ? My dealer has been no help and claims that it is "normal" for the CVO motors to build up heat.

your propesed changes will help a tad in reducing temps, but it will still run alot hotter than any previous harleys you have owned, that as your dealer said is normal for this pooly designed 110 motor
