My wife takes a field trip!
« on: June 15, 2009, 10:39:22 PM »

My wife, Kandy just returned from a week long trip to the UK. While there she was kind enough to stop by the local dealer and pick me up a few t-shirts. Here are a few shots of the Manchester store. She said it was a very cool place! Wish this were a ride report!

It always pays to be nice to your hubby. As a reward for her thoughtfulness, I am heading out in the morning to pick up my gift to her... I'll start a thread on this project when I get home.

Always wondered why they didn't make a matching SED in O/B. :confused5: On the other hand may be a good thing they didn't I might have been tempted to want to have a match for my :pumpkin: :huepfenlol2:

Got Kandy's birthday present home the other day. 257 miles of pure joy riding from Green Bay followed by 25 miles of pouring rain to finish the trip. Took me a few days to get the scoot clean enough to post here. It had never been ridden in the rain before. I'll start a thread in the Deuce section as well.

Mark, will it get a treatment with anything approaching the detail you've given the DWG?

Twolane, I've made it very clear (and she was glad I did) that this is her scoot and I will not do anything to it unless she asks or approves.

We'll start with a seat that moves her a bit forward. Got a windshield with the purchase (just like the photo without it).

Planning to put the HD mirrors with the integrated running light/turn signals as we agree, the bullet lites in front detract from the styling.

She wants different pipes. She likes the street sweepers but wants them to be quieter than the stock ones and that ain't gonna happen. The stock pipes on the Deuce are 3db louder than my V&H Q series pipes so we want to be that quiet or better. We want to be good neighbors.

Once we settle on the pipes, a saddlebag decision will be made. I think she likes the HD hard bags but the fitment on the SE bike is problematic because of the wide tire kit. I want them to be removable so we may have to get some sort of custom mount. I think they could look cool if the tops were black and the sides had the same blue/black theme with the red stripe. I am sure my buddy Lenny from Krazy Kolors would love to get his hands on them.

Got her the new HD oil temp/oil level gauge as she constantly wonders if her oil level is ok.

Putting on the Heat Deamons grip warmers and their utility plug for heated clothing/battery tender.

A few chrome covers and we should be good for a while.

Might be even more fun than the Switchblade since you'll have a helper this time :drink: .
