Nice job on the GPS mount.  Clean.   :2vrolijk_21:
I agree. It's the cleanest mount I have ever seen. Well done!

Ride safely,
Louis

Nice work!  The bike looks perfect!

Do you recall what you spent out the door for the tour-pak..?  And I'm assuming it's detachable.

Nice bike and modifications.

Is that you're log home in the Picture?  Nice looking home from what I can see.

I built my log home in 2003 on Watts Bar lake in TN.  I love living in a log home, with the fast Silver SERG in the garage :coolblue:

Thanks for the info on the antenna, just firming up my deal on my new SERG (trading an Anne SERK, hard decision). I am adding the tourpak and the dealer didn't know what to do with the antenna. Your bike looks great its making my decision easier.

Indenial, a few more questions if you don't mind. Is that the factory painted tourpak to match your SERG or did you have it painted, I noticed there is no antenna attachment on the back, the factory matched one I see on the MoCo website has an antenna attachment.. Also, is that the smooth passenger backrest pad?

EagleGlider: my cost was list for the pack and all the add-ons, less 20% plus the hourly rate to drill holes for the luggage rack, switch removable bracket, lock kit and spoiler. So I don't how much time it took for the set up.  I also was having the handlebars done along with some wiring, but  the total labor bill was $845. Your guess on time is as good as mine.

FLSTFIDave:  Yeah, that's our log home. Researched it for 3 years and had it built in 2003. Really special----to the point that we don't want to leave once we get home. If we ever get to TN, I'd like to see yours.

TBird:  Yes, the tour pack is the factory painted for SERG. No antenna mount. It's the "classic" version. It used to be the Ultra version had the two antenna and the classic had one. But with the short antenna, I think they did away with it on the classic. Looks cleaner this way. Also, yes it's the smooth passenger backrest. I like it better than the button/tuck one I had on my old RG.

Did your passenger floor boards come stock..?  Mine came with pegs.  If you replaced them, what style did you use..?

Thanks Indenial, I would like to get one without the antenna base, the ones on the HD website still show it, maybe the site is not updated. Looks much cleaner without the base, I will go with the smooth backreast as well.

Check out the thread on page 9 of this section---SEGR Floorboards
They all come with the pegs on the rear and most people move them upfront. Just a way for the MoCo to make more $$$.   I chose the grooved cover to match the mirrors.

I had been interested in log homes from when I was 16 and my parents were looking into building one.  I started really researching them in 1996.  When I retired from the Navy in 2001, I new it was going to be a log home I built.  We took three of Tennesse log homes floor plans, and I picked the features of each I liked best, and pretty much designed ours.  I paid to have the logs errected, and the roof and windows installed.  I did everything else.  Took me three years.  I have the main floor and second floor and all decks finished, 2100 sqft.  I have the walk out basement framed now, when it is finished it will add another bed room, great room and 3rd full bath, for a total of 2700 sqft not counting garage.  I have 1500 sqft of deck and porch.

I use to be big into RVing, but now with the my log home, we quit that, I just do not feel like going anywhere.

You sure have your bike looking good.  I run the chopped tour pack solo on mine.  Wife rides her own Heritage.

Hind  sight being 20/20 I would have just used my passanger pegs for the hwy pegs, and had no rear pegs.

good looking setup  :2vrolijk_21:  Just one question though:  I noticed you went with the Nuvi GPS which isn't weather resistant.  Was there a reason you didn't go with the Zumo?   :nixweiss:

Garmin makes the Nuvi 550 for bikes. It's water resistant and was only $359 Canadian. It's difficult to operate with gloves but it works great for the money
