The street glide is already lowered 1" from stock Electra Glide height, the same as the 04-05 SEEG. I would not lower it any more.

ProfileĀ® Low Touring Front Lowering Kit

Place the rider's feet firmly on the ground. This kit utilizes components designed to provide a 1" decrease in ride height.

This product is available in multiple variations. Be sure to look for the one that fits the specific model and year of your motorcycle.

 54564-09

Fits '09 Touring models (except FLHR, FLHRC, FLTRSE3, FLHTCUTG and Police models). Must only be installed on vehicles equipped with ProfileĀ® Low Touring Shocks P/N 54635-09. Can be installed on FLHX models with Original Equipment rear shocks.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

I've never figured out why they only lowered the rear of the FLHX, since you would think H-D wouldn't want to mess up their "heavily engineered and highly precise" chassis geometry.  But for whatever reason, it appears they only lowered the rear.

Jerry

oops, listed the wrong one for an '08.  That would require this part number:

54628-06

Fits '06-'08 Touring models (except Road King or Police models.) Must only be installed on vehicles equipped with ProfileĀ® Low Touring Shocks P/N 54631-02B. Can be installed on FLHX models with Original Equipment rear shocks.

Bob, you are correct, I checked in the part manuals today and they have the same front end suspension as other baggers.

(This is contrary to wht the FLHX info states on the HD site. They call it a "Slammed Suspension")

I'm still trying to find out about the SERK4. I thought it was only lowered in the rear. Is the front lowered also?

Almost positive just lowered in the rear like a FLHX..  Just the SEEG's were lowered front and rear.

Can't swear to it 100%, but when I do a query on the H-D site for accessories for the SERK4 it comes up with two different front end lowering kits that are supposed to work.  Part number 54614-05 has the simple damper rod setup for both legs, and part number 54599-02 has the cartridge type internals.  This would indicate to me that the stock SERK4 has a non-lowered front end.

I looked up the part numbers and believed the SERK forks to be the standard height. However, Howie is certain he had his raised an inch to get back to standard height when he did the AK-20.    :nixweiss:

Thanks Jim. I have put 13 inch rear shocks on, should I have the front raised also? Can I with these legs? I am currently not noticing a handling problem after 1500 miles.

Ok, I'm still uncertain to what my 08 SERK's front forks are: lowered or stock height.  :nixweiss:

My FLHRSE4 MODEL parts manual list the following:
Springs 45892-02
Fork Assembly, left 46240-02A
Fork Assembly, right 46241-02A
Slider, left (chrome) 46473-00B
Slider, right (chrome) 46474-00C

I do not have parts manual for a standard 08 Road King. Can anyone help? Heading for Traxxion Dynamics on Tuesday (assuming my bike is back) so I need to know for sure.

does HD sell a lowering kit for the front,  of an 08 street glide,.. like the one that comes stock on an 04 cvo seeg?  if so how many in.'s  does it lower the front
We lowered the front of Melanie's 07 SG with the HD kit, don't remember the part #, and it works fine. I think the 1" kit only lowered it about 1/2" in the front due to rake, etc. Works fine for her at 5' 4" and 115 lbs. but I wouldn't do it to my SEUC.
