rust inside oil tank

I was changing the oil today and got to looking in the oil tank noticed some rust.  I didn't know if this was normal.

was also changing my oil in april 09 on my 09 cvo springer and noticed rust in the tank.  i noticed that the crossover tube in the tank was steel and severely rusted.  drained my oil a week later before i took into dealer so i could get pictures and collected rust particles on bottom of drain pan.  dealer ordered new tank and is supposed to have it done today may13.  contacted cust. service and demanded an extention of 5 yrs on the engine.  no answer yet. also emailed them pictures.  any others out there with 09 springer problems?

i have had rust in a petrol tank on a older bike, moco replaced if free of charge except for sundries, even it was out of warrenty.

The moco replaced the oil tank with a new one that had rust in it.

I bought a color shop numbered flame tank and fender set for my Heritage in 2000.  I couldn't get another so local private shop flushed tank and used a product that stopped rust.  Still no problems to date for the guy that I sold the bike too.

the oil tank was replaced and cust serv line never responded to my pictures.  the new oil tank has no rust but the crossover tube is discolored.  now at 6k and engine used 1/2 quart of oil in 1200 miles on my trip to smokies.   front tire cupped out over the 3k trip.     whats next?
