New Forks
« on: November 11, 2005, 10:30:57 PM »

I just replaced the front forks on my bike with stock length 05 fairing tubes.
They have the new emulator valves and I really like the front of the bike back up to normal height. I used 11 oz of 15wt oil and the bike handles a lot better at high speed and it doesn`t drag the right floorboard mount and the kickstand as bad as it did with the lowered frontend.

Different strokes for diff...., can't believe you would raise a S/E bike. HD and a lot of A/M companies sell kits to  lower Harleys, and sell a lot of them at that, BUT you are the first person I ever heard of who wanted to RAISE one.

Hey ,these roads are crooked up here.   When it gets down on this mount in a curve thats it , the bike will turn no tighter. Stock height gives me a little more wiggle room. I put the 12.5 inch progresive`s on the back.

David, you're one of a few that have chosen to gain some clearance on their SEEG.  Feels good, rides good, makes you happy with it; more power to you.

FORK ASSY LFT  46495-06

They came with the stock grey sliders that I removed and replaced with my Chrome ones.
You can buy all the parts seperate if you want .
Springs 46235-06
Dampning valve 46209-06
Damper Tube 46422-06
Oil Seal      45875-84a
Bottom Screws 45405-75a
You`ll need the new seals and bottom screws ether way you go.

I used 15wt oil and the bike rides great now. I dont notice the small bumps or bridge joints like I did with the shorter travel forks.
