The guy is obviously dismounting from his bike and the one cop has to play cowboy and jump on his back from behind and ride him to the ground. No wonder the cops get into trouble when there are video cameras around.

One of the cops punched him a couple of times while he was on the ground.

X2
But they will say he was a threat so they had to play wild wild west!
I, like most of us know people (on the job), and they hate wanna be tough guys like that.
I'm sure someone will chew me out for this comment, but tough, that's just how I feel.

I doubt it... But I'd have to call unnecessary roughness on that play. The guy is face down on the ground with like 3 dudes on him so I doubt it was necessary to punch him, but maybe it was...

I would like to know what started this whole deal before passing judgement on this guy. However, and having said that, I don't think anyone should take a chance with the cops these days, they seem to look for reasons to take the club to ya.

Actually , I think they were a little rougher on bikers bake in the 60s and 70s before the car cams. And they had wooden bats with them.

Ha!  I love the two late punches thrown - totally unnecessary, but almost retribution for putting up chase!  That cop must have been PISSED.

And really, just pull over already idiot.  I'm curious why he was evading the cops.

I normally don't feel it is necessary to punch/tackle a guy that is surrendering. BUT, in this day and age, we don't know who is carrying. I wouldn't want to be the officer that let a suspect shoot my friends/officers.

 Just me oppinion

Can be handled by drawing down on the person and being ready to react if required. Just my opinion.

I was watching Fox news here at work when it all went down. I thought the same as you when i was watching. I was like, wtf , why did he tackle the guy, he was just getting off his bike, put the kickstand down and everything.

Then I thought about it, I have no idea if this guy was a bank robber, rapest, etc....

That is why I wrote what I wrote this morning. I normally am the guy cops are chasing  :P

How was the cop to know if after getting off the bike he would turn around with a gun. The cops did the right thing.
