Tourpak seatback
« on: July 15, 2009, 01:31:45 PM »

I recently ordered a full size tourpak to match my 09 cvo roadglide (yellow).   I then found out HD is not offering the matching seat back with the buffalo hide insert.  They do offer it for the chopped tp.  Makes no sense that they wouldn't offer it for the king tp.  It's cvo specific paint for $400 extra, but now I have to get a plain roadking seat to mount.  Can't get an answer from MoCo.

Hmmmmmmmmmm  I use the chopped tour pak, I guess there would be a difference,  I
think you may have to good with the standard back rest ,.... good luck.

Use the backrest for the chopped tourpak, would look better than the "old man" armrest unit on the full size one anyway. Fill the extra holes with chrome plugs. Someone had a 03 SERK on here for sale with full size t/p and  Chopped t/p backrest, it looked major better than the armrest deal.

Hotrod50,

I went with the King TP and ordered the SERG matching chopped Backrest.  You will have to drill the mounting holes yourself.  I could not find a template, so I took measurements from a chopped tour-pac.   Measured 20 times and drilled once.  Dealer gave me some black hole plugs, but since yours is yellow, chrome will probably look better.

The chopped backrest looks much better. More in the theme of the bike than the large one.
