Leaner is going to make more power... More air and more fuel is going to make more. The HQ Pro Tuner does one thing: It changes your partial closed loop stock system to a full time closed loop system and it self adjusts. Why do people think that when a Harley is running good and fat its making more power? Bottom line is that it works excellent and does not require any race tuner or dyno time period. If you want to change to Fulsac's, remove the cat and plug and play a tuning system that is fool proof and has advantages relating to weather changes and driving conditions...HQ Pro Tuner is a good choice. Skeptics should stick with the old methods of tuning... :drink:

But when there are no wide-band-O2-sensors included , how can the HQ switch the system into a full time closed loop system ?
With Zipper`s Thundermax they come within the package.

Desant, the money you spent on the rush you could have done the cat remove and fullsac baffles and gotten a great sound, the fuel management system is big as there are many options. PC & Fuelpak are merely tricks for the system to run better. I have used both on some of my previous bikes, the SERT brings into play some warrantee issues as it leaves a footprint on your ECM. My experience with thundermax and HQ is not favorable as friends of mine who have used them have gotten rid of them for other systems. the TM has actually been known to untune. HQ is better of the two. my choice is the TTS as long as you use the V-Tune process, the stock maps are a good start but what works good in Cali, won't work as well in NY, atmosphere/temps/altitude all play into this, thats why the V-tune works well as it will be specific to your bike and your style of riding.
why would the sert bring some warrenty issues? when the product is made from harley davidson?

Full time closed loop with narrow band will adjust all the time instead of only partially and when fully warmed up like stock. There is a big difference with overall tune on my bike. No cat, 2 1/4 Fulsac's and the HQ pro tuner gave me a perfect combination. I ceramic coated the header so I have no heat issues and the oil temp has not exceeded 228F since. Wide band is the next best step but there are to many lost features when replacing the Delfi unit.  :drink:

you have to buy it from Harley, have it installed by Harley and Dyno'd by harley, at the time of purchase for the warrantee to be Not effected, even then, it's only warranteed by the dealer who put it on. when you upload a race tuner, it leaves a footprint on your ECM that HD will see if you have motor problems

Can someone tell me all the initials in these tuners?  I get lost in SERT, TTS, HQ, etc., etc.  Too new to tuning to know them all yet.  Thanks!

And even if you have it installed and tuned by the dealer at the time of purchase, it still voids the factory warranty plus makes the bike illegal in the eyes of the EPA and CARB (California) since it is being used to tamper with the emission system.  If the chit hits the fan, good luck with getting the dealer to stand behind it.  When one of these dealers tells you it won't affect your warranty, insist they put it in writing.  And make sure it's an officer of the dealership that signs the statement, not just some employee they can disavow later.  And don't hold your breath waiting on that signed document.

Our SERG is like a good woman - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  I'm amazed at the difference of opinion on this topic. I don't have enough knowledge to have an opinion, so thanks for all the pros and cons each of you list.  Some time soon I'll do something on this with mine, but in the mean time, it'll still fly if needed...
