PCIII Map close, but not perfect
« on: August 10, 2009, 05:40:29 PM »

I just ordered a PCIII and the closest map that I could find on the PC's website was:  M805-126 -- Vance & Hines staggered Big Shots, Stock ECU and Screamin Eagle air filter

It's close enough to my current set-up (V&H big shots staggered, Zipper's high flow A/C, stock ECU) that I'm going to give it a try.  Does anyone know if the potential exists for a bad outcome?  I'm assuming that since the only difference is the specific brand A/C that there won't be a major issue.  I will most likely end up getting a custom tune down the road, but wanted to find a map for a "band aid" until I take the bike in.  Advice and tips are welcome as usual.

That map should get you fairly close.  Download the map and see how it runs.  I don't think the difference in the A/C with make much difference.  I would keep an eye on your plugs for any signs of the bike running too rich or too lean.  Of course to get it fine tuned you will need to find a tuenr and get it on a dyno.
