2009 -2010 and Traxxion
« on: September 21, 2009, 10:57:06 AM »

I haven't ridden a 09 or 2010 yet, but the two things that have always bugged me about Harleys is the irritating rattle in front of me. (speedo I think) and the excessive brake dive. Do the newer bikes need the Traxxion upgrade or did Hd get something right on this front suspension. I have heard it is excellant as delivered however it was not from anyone a descriminating as most of us CVO owners. I am lusting after the 2010 Cvo Ultra in either Amber or Blue. I did a search but didn't see anything on the newer bikes. Just want to know what I'm in for. AGAIN

They did. New frame design. I was told that the bike it set up properly as is. As I have not ridden the new frame is that true, or Is the ak-20 upgrade still almost necessary. Hate the brake dive on the 2008 SERK

I notice more brake dive on my 2010 Ultra than my old 2005 SEEG.  The suspension and handling on it are well worth the trade off to me.  I am very happy with the stock seat and air shock.  On the SEEG, I traded out for Progressive 440's and a Corbin dual tour seat - neither will be necessary with this bike.  I actually prefer the stock seat to my Corbin - this is the first time I haven't changed my stock seat to a Corbin.  The frame upgrade has made me happier with this bike than I expected to be.  The 2010 is a MAJOR improvement for me over my old 2005.

I took the AK-20 off my '07 FLHTC and transferred them to my '09 SERG3 and noticed the same improvements I did when doing the initial install on the '07.
