no, and if you're considering an extended warranty on your motorcycle, get the one sold by Harley dealers. Otherwise you're just introducing another potential problem to deal with when something breaks down.

My local dealer offers the Harley extended warranty and one from First Extended Service Corporation. My guess is that they make more money from the non-Harley one. But I'd go with the Harley warranty because other dealers may not honor the First Extended Service Corporation warranty. Just my 2 cents

It's a used bike and the dealer who sold it to me didn't offer the Harley Davidson Warranty, I had no choice but to go with this one. He sold it to me for $600.00 for a 3yr so I thought that was reasonable. I called the warranty company and they seemed very legit.
Just wondering if anybody had any experience with them?

Most of these third party service contractors all do the same thing.  Servicer calls them with an estimate, they approve the job and when the job is done the service contractor provides a credit card.  Same as a dealer or any other servicer is likely having to do with most vehicle owners.

When this was a less mature market one often heard of shops not wanting to deal with the contractors.  Didn't know who or what they were.  It was new.  They were afraid of a scam of some kind.  It's such a mature market anymore though that the concept shouldn't surprise a shop.  Just shouldn't be a big deal anymore.

That's the way I understand it, they call this company get authorization and pay the HD service center.

I understand in an ideal world I would be better off with a straight forward HD warranty but I don't even think non authorized Harley dealerships offer them on used bikes.

The HD "warranty" is only the same thing from a different company.  It's not an HD product even though they put their name on it.  Still just a separate outside contractor that the shop still calls about the job and gets paid from outside on.  It is not a product warranty.  That only comes from the manufacturer.  The "HD" extended warranty is still just another service contract.

The Harley plan is not an "extended warranty."  It is a Harley-Davidson Extended Service Plan.
