Hogmike's 103 Limited dyno chart!
« Reply #15 on: September 13, 2009, 06:43:43 PM »

Heres the dyno from Hogmikes 2010 103 limited. Mods included, 1.75 muffler cores, headpipe mod, and high flow AC. Remap with TTS software.
The improvement in power was great! Overall, the numbers were a little soft for a 103, before and after.
I'm thinking Harley has possibly changed the cams for 2010. The addition of the cat in all models Touring may have also included a little cam tweak
towards improved emissions. After I dyno a few more 2010s we will see if the trend continues. If they have gone backwards on the cams, just
another great excuse to replace em with some that kick ass.

Special thanks to Mike Scott for riding with a Fullsac!

the 103  is way short on  hP and TQ from what i expected it to end up with when the mods were done..   that motor is to have 9.7.1 compression so i figured it would be about 10  and 10 more with the mods done..  anyway   its good to see the dyno sheet before and after. it would appear some cams and a little headwork wil be in order.. at least the 255 cams as these bikes are wayyyyyy  heavy and need all the help they can get down low.   little head work and the 255 it will carry it out plenty far for one of these bikes.
would have been nice to see what happens when ya do the aircleaner and just a slipon  for comparisons sake.                                                                                                                                           Thanks again

Yep, disappointing, to say the least! My 96" bike showed more improvement with the same mods!
I found out on the return trip the Yuma dealer has had one of these motors apart already! It's the same as the 96 incher. Only difference is ACR's, bigger bore.
It's the same as the stage 1 kit for the 96" bike.
Cams will wake it up for sure, along with a better air cleaner.

still need to get rid of the cats. where i am at the  last few days was  low 80's and  high 70's and the heat from the right side  exhaust  is bad at these cool temps.  don't want to have this bike set up as it came from the factory as i would be forced to [park it when the 90 - 100 degree stuff hits with the humid conditions   ..  maybe someone wil have the cure by then   or more varity of fixes.  maybe  some of the   true duels will be set up for these things

Maybe I'm getting used to my new tune on the 103, but, it seems that the bike is running better, especially 2-up. Heat is still an issue and I'll be adjusting the low MAP and RPM fuel a little to see if that helps. It's been hot here, and we are taking a trip in Oct. I think the bike will be fine with just a couple of tweaks.
It just seems to run hotter than the 96 incher. I have the same oil temp dipstick on both bikes, and the oil is hotter on the 103 by about 10-20 degrees. I would think they should be basically the same, even with the little bump in displacement.
Only got about 2000 miles on the '10, we'll see if it loosens up a bit!
