Price in Daytona
« on: October 15, 2009, 05:51:24 PM »

Over at Destination Daytona today for Biketoberfest. They have four SEUC's at $46,996 on the floor. One blue, one slate and two Amber / Orange. Thought about putting a for sale sign on mine and make a few bucks (lol). Hot as heck down here and a really nice crowd.

Can't even blame Bruce Rossmeyer any longer.  So what's their excuse now?

The 10-14k over msrp is nothing new it has been this way for years.  Hence why so many go out of state to get msrp pricing.

At those low prices, I assume those were '08, or at best '09 my bikes, right?

;-)))

Ride safely,

I had someone come up to me in a parking lot, hand me his business card and offer to buy my (brand new) SEUG!  I told him thanks, but no thanks as I had just taken delivery two weeks prior.  I guess the SEUG really is the most popular CVO model......

I told you guys in a earlier post that they intentionally price high during these events and get what they are asking from the Euro's and other tourist trade. These people ride around Bike Week and BIKETOBERFEST with wads of cash looking for deals based on the currency differential in their countries.

In many cases they already have return shipping set up and plan on using it after they ride their new purchases around in the Florida sun for a few weeks.

So for us normal people, as the old saying goes "Just Say NO" and move on to a reasonable deal.

These are the prices year round and not just for the events.  Their prices on CVO's are always 10-14k over.  Somewhere in the past I even posted a picture of the price tag :(

The market obviously allows them to jack the prices up to these crazy levels, if you drove a mere 19 miles from Destination Daytona to New Smyrna HD, also owned by the late B.R. you could buy the same 2010 SEUC for $4000 less....like they say, location location location.
