What are the regulations for new riders in the US . Any restrictions ?

For my original license it was a brief written test and a quick skills test.  If you take a motorcycle safety course usually you get your license upon completion and there is a discount on insurance.  Hope you enjoy the States, each is unique.  :2vrolijk_21:

If you are not a U.S. citizen, a U.S. driver license may be obtained, but it's validity is limited to the validity of your entry permit, usually three months. In addition most states require a brief additional exam and/or test.

Inquisetive i guess , in another post a lady rider is having lessons on a Buell 1125cc. Here the max cc permitted is
125cc (33bhp) for 2yrs although ther is a way around this if the person is 21yrs or more.
16yrs limited to 50cc
