Hawg-Wired tweeter pods
« on: December 05, 2009, 05:51:26 PM »

I see that hawg wired has the tweeter pods on their site now. They do not have a recommended system for them yet. Now, I think I know you guys well enough to know that someone has ordered them and has an idea for their scoot I am interested in these and would like to have a discussion on possible setups for them. I'm thinking of the direct connect and the pods for mine. Lets here the choices you all think would go good together

They are on the site but not shipping until this coming week. I will have some in my hands then. I typically recommend the PSC amp series over the DCS (direct connect) amps. I previewed beta units and they are impressive, a very high quality tweeter.

Son of a female canine. Had not looked at these at all closely until now.  Also had no intention of doing anything to the red bike; maybe until now....

Jim, do you know yet if the version advertised as having a leather like texture are in fact fabric covered?  Or are they a textured plastic/ABS/whatever outer shell?

Don;
They are a textured genuine look-a-like leather type plastic....... ;D. They actually look pretty good. The smooth finish is a match for a non-painted inner fairing (flat black) and are paintable to match.

Ok, got it.  I've got a material dye that closely matches the inner.  Was thinking if it really was a leather or vinyl wrap I could do that here.  This boy can't paint though.  Wouldn't be prudent to try....
