New MoCo Streched Saddle Bags on SERG
« on: November 07, 2009, 01:25:16 AM »

Hey all; Looks like HD was a year late in getting the tooling completed to give the 09 SERG the deeper saddle bags. Despite this I still couldn't buy a SESG over this SERG. But has anyone found a painter who can match the paint so the option is available? Any idea on cost? It may sound a bit "over the top"....but WTF, look at the bike its "rolling art" why not loose the falsies and gain the storage along with a cleaner look. Just an observation, maybe y'all have discussed this all ready, I'm about 15 months behind and trying to catch up. :nixweiss:

I have been toying with the same idea, thought about asking my dealer if Harley ( via Calibre ) would paint a set for me. My best guess is that it is a long shot at best.

call JC at 480 330-9248.  He has all the paint codes or can refer you to the outfit in Colorado that actually paints the cvo tins  good luck

FWIW: It's a LOT of money to invest considering that the bags aren't that much deeper. Please take the time to stick your head inside one of the new bags and see for yourself before parting with the sizable $$$$$

They actually areonly deeper in the rear of the bag in my assessment.

I have a 2010 SE Street Glide now and had a 2006 Street Glide until recently.

Calibre is doing the paint again.  Grafton, WI.  Harley can't make up its mind.
