Boy, I just love this thread......brings back those earlier lusty feelings of seeing the scooter for the 1st time which is like being a kid on Christmas morning when Santa had done his magic.  :santa2: Enjoy and remember to share with us one and all.  :vrolijk_6:  har!  :drink: spyder

Sounds like you are real close if you aren't there right now. I hadn't seen the color of my bike till the day I picked up also. I have to say it was worth the wait..... Hopefully you will have a buddy document the day like JC did for me. I have to say my 1st CVO  was alot more exciting than my 1st new harley street glide back in Aug of 05. I have to agree with you on colors couldn't give up my black SG especially with the orange graphics from 04/05 SEEG. The colors on our new bikes are awesome..... Everytime I walk into the garage I get this smile/grin that comes from my new CVO...... Having Susans new black SG in the garage really puts it over the top. :orange: :orange: :2vrolijk_21: Jon

... and still to this day I have not seen the Amber in person...

I saw one up on the rack this afternoon at Savannah HD. It was being PDIed and as of yet unsold.  Much better looking in person!

OK I hope my next post will be to show off my very first CVO. As I posted last week I got the Vin number and most of you said, Chris you will have your bike with in the next few days. Well boys and girls that was over a week ago. So yesterday I called the dealership and said what's up with my bike, so long story short they called HD and they put a trace on the bike and they did find it today setting in a warehouse of the fright company and to make matters worse it's been there for over a week. So I was told today that it would be at the dealer sometime tomorrow afternoon. Now I'm making plans to pick it up on Friday. I just hope at this point that everything is OK with the bike since it's been setting in a warehouse for a week. But I'm sure it's fine because the Motorcycle Gods would not put me through anymore chit. Julie at Ben Breece HD has stayed on top of this order the whole way. She has been great to work with but the whole problem has been HD because they will not give out much info about the bike. They just want the dealership to pay that invoice. I talked to the dealership here in Louisville where I got my Fatboy and they told me the same thing about bad communications with Harley-Davidson.

At least you found it, and CONGRATS!!!

Looks like I'll be getting my SESG on Friday as well (good Lord willin' and the creeks don't rise) ... so I'm a little anxious too. I heard that H-D out-sourced all of their shipping so it's almost impossible for them to say when a given bike will arrive. Mine was invoiced on 2 Nov and got to the dealer yesterday morning.

Anyway ... hope delivery goes well for you and me both!! I would make a point of having the dealer bleed the clutch prior to pickup ... just one less thing to worry about.

Make sure you allow enough time to check out the museum they have, pretty cool collection.

Terrific!!

Have a safe trip and enjoy the day, the experience, the "CVO-ness" of it all.
Nothing like that "new bike smell" ... eh?  ;)

My SESG is ready ... holding off 'til tomorrow to pick it up. 4 hours up ... then a 4hr ride back.
Supposed to 70 degrees and perfect weather - I'm stoked!

Chris and Tif,
Congrats on picking your bikes up tomorrow.  I'll bet neither of you sleep very well tonight.  You'll both not even know how far you're driving back once you get on them...you'll have more concerns about how you're going to explain that chit-eating grin to everyone when you get back.   ;D  Enjoy the ride...there's nothing more exciting then that first ride on a new CVO.  But trust me, it only gets better.  :2vrolijk_21:  Have fun and enjoy tomorrow, and remember...get plenty of pictures to share of the momentuous ocassion. :)
