Does anyone know of a paint shop in Virginia that can fix two small scratches on my 2009 SEUC Blue & Silver? The scratch is in the blue in the lower part of the left side bag.

Southern Auto Body in Fredericksburg is very good at matching paint and making repairs.  I had my 07 SEUC fairing repaired by them and the damage included the black/orange "fade" area and they matched it perfectly.  The fairing turned out great.

H-D’s touch-up paint has done a pretty good job in the last few years for small issues; surprising, actually. I used it to take care of some small stuff on my ’08 Crimson SG. I was impressed with the results; especially considering the color.

Depending on Southern Auto Body’s rate for a full repair, there may be some value in looking at the touch-up as a plan-A, with the full meal deal as a backup.

The touch-up paint runs around $30. A quick color-sand and buff shouldn’t be a real big deal.

Good points DJ...Southern charges about $60/hour on motorcycles....(of course)....so it could get pricey depending on what they do.

Muddy,  if you don't want to do the touch-up yourself, go see Danny in the service department at Richmond HD in Glenn Allen, VA.  He does a really good job of doing touch ups.

The guy that hit me is having his insurance company pay so I plan to call the body shop that was recomended. It's not a big scratch but I want it to look like new.

And I guess the insurance company will not just replace the saddlebag?  :-\ spyder

They can't find a paint shop so my guess they will pay. I'll just pocket what is left and get some other stuff for the bike. The bag is $1344. I will know Monday.

Just the bag w/o the lid and hinge/lock hardware shouldn't be that much, should it?  spyder

That is what the HD dealer told me. It will come all together. If I buy seperate pieces then there is the labor charge. This is the price i got over the phone. Is it wrong?

Not if the insurance company will pay for the whole thing....the labor charge should be included in the insurance settlement to fix your damage and would probably be less than buying the complete bag.  spyder

The dealer said it would cost less to buy the whole thing assembled then to buy parts and put it together. I really don't care as it is not costing me anything. I will have it painted and pocket what is left over.

Does anyone have the paint code for a 2009 SEUC blue and silver? I need it for the blue. I found a painter right by my house.
