if you are going to drop that much on shocks, you would be better off paying a little more for custom built shocks for your bike, your weight, and your riding. Go talk with Howard here;
http://www.motorcyclemetal.com/gpage.html

He will get you THE BEST shocks in Penske shocks and build(valve ) them for you

I had the 440's and went with Penskes and it was night and day in handling. You won'y believe the difference

Be prepared to PAY HEAVILY for them Penske's! :nixweiss:

You can get bitubo's from Traxxion in 330mm (13") for way less than Penskes. ;)

I don't know, $1,000 isn't all that bad considering chrome 440's are $650 and I can't even find how much those Italian thingies are in US but in Brittish pounds they are $690 and that's about $1100 and the customer service with Howard is above and beyond

Like some other shocks, they interfere with the saddlebags.
Bagger owners are limited to just a few manufactures.
In fact, even a 1" lowering kit for the swing arm will sometimes rub on the bags.

had the same Penske shocks on my 2007 Road Glide and now they are on my 2009 CVO Ultra. they did rub on the Road Glide bags, but that was MY FAULT entirely. I misread(or perhaps, didn;t read  ::) ) the instal sheets so I put them on wrong. 13,000 miles on my Ultra and no rubbing
