« on: February 12, 2010, 10:00:31 PM »

Ok, guys, throw'n this one out there, I wanna "up the cams in my 95" and was wonder'n will this cam work in an 04? Engine has 9.6 CR now, so if I  went with, say, the SE Compressor heads, would this get the CR up to where it needs to be? :nixweiss: Need more TB?(bigger)  :nixweiss:This cam supposedly high-lift version of SE 211....also will do the better oil pump, obviously while there, would like ta go 107", but can't do all that anytime soon....will definately go w/ the Mastertune....Thanks! I know all you engine guys'll have some info!    :-\ :nixweiss:

(has Sampson's on now, but will probly do Fatcats)

 ???
Gotcha....Thanks,Don.....guess I should'a looked @ the "fitment" guide first......was just look'n @ the "grind specs" :-\

           Intake-19 BTDC/47 ABDC
           Exhaust- 58 BBDC/12 ATDC
           Lift- .579

:-\  What about the SE "Kompressor" heads for increase in CR? @ $600.00 MoCo, does'nt seem like a bad price,I'm sure a good port/polish/workover would come to more than that? :nixweiss:

Nah
Those heads are just OEM 06up castings, stock forged valves, milled .060. You can have that done easily enough. And they upgrade????? the springs to SE springs with 200# seat pressure. No thanks.
Ebay or I have castings 06up then a little port work and new AV&V valves. Much better solution.

Thanks for the insight....definately gonna do the tuner first.....and I think the "tuner" ,Mastertune be'n the best has already been established by what I read here, get a better set of pipes, probly fatcats, and just ride it for a while, bike runs pretty strong now, but know it can do better...... ;D
