Very nice show indeed. Every year I say that they winter olympics are no big deal and then when I watch I get so proud of all the young athletes who work so hard to represent their counties, families and themselves. An inspiring group.

I am not typically a fan of opening ceremonies of any kind but they did a wild job. The guy that produced that needs a bonus. Wild use of projection lighting.  When the killer whales swam "under the floor" I almost fell off the recliner. Holy %^&$.
Hope the weather cooperates for the rest of it.

It is a beautiful city. It used to be my home and has some of the nicest scenery and riding in the world.

I enjoy the Winter Olympics much more than the Summer Olympics, most likely as I played hockey and skied most of my life.

Thumbs up to the producer and the Canadian Olympic committee for sure.  $30m vs $300m spent on the China opening ceremony, the Canadians entertained extremely well and saved $270m.

How about the snowboarder they dropped on top of the mountain :nixweiss:  Holy moly, that was incredible.

I too enjoyed the Whales swimming under the floor :2vrolijk_21:

It was a shame that the 4th tower did not rise....if it weren't for the tv correspondents you would not have known something was wrong.
