Progressive Monotubes post install report
« on: June 27, 2010, 01:04:58 PM »

Well I have a couple thousand miles in with the new Progressive Monotubes installed.

Impressive improvement on overall handling  :2vrolijk_21:

Significant reduction in dive under braking especially in panic stopping.

Also minimixing rise under hard acceleration  :2vrolijk_21:

Like getting out of a Malibu and into a new Corvette

Tighter in cornering and more sure footed overall.

While I have never tried the BiTubo's to compare

I feel the improvement far exceeds the investment on these Night and Day difference from the stock units!

They also are available in models to lower the front 1 to 2 inches if you so desire?

Would definitely buy them again  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

+1  I've had mine for about 2K miles,  the best bang for the buck improvement I've made .  Put the Touring Link on at the same time.

Sad to say , this is what HD should have on all thier bikes.. for the difference in cost , especially at OEM level , it would be a no brainer.

I just had Jim put some on my '07 with 50K. Quite a difference as weelsnkeels said, but at 50K, I think a fork oil change would have made a difference too. Great bang for the buck. My only complaint after 2K miles is that in extreme cornering the front end "wallows" or "pulsates" with
countersteering. When leaning only or with minimal countersteering pressure it's very steady but the harder you push, the more it pulsates. Just my observation, other than that, there is minimal diving during front braking and less countersteering pressure needed when turning compaired to stock.

I hate them, must be the reason I have three sets.
Traxxion in one bike, Progressive Monotubes for the other three.
Arnott's on one bike, Progressive 440's on the other three.
Nothing like a good handling bike.

 ;)
