Boy I definately know how you guys feel about waiting for your SE to show up.

I myself had a 6-7 month wait and didn't have the luxury of the piece of mind that a deposit would have made.
There are two main HD dealer groups in my area and one took deposits but they were all spoken for by the second day their computer list for 2006 came out. They could try to find another dealer with one if it was a standard production bike but since it was a CVO they had nothing of equal value to offer as a trade. The only possible chance was to see what their last quarter computer list would reveal in the spring and then I could make a deposit if they were going to get another FLHTCUSE but there was nothing definate.
The second dealership group did not take deposits at any of their dealerships but had a wait list phone call system. If you were not home they called the next person etc. I was lucky in that I have dealt with them since 1997 and they have always treated me well. They said they would call if and when they got a FLHTCUSE in. I got the call in the Fall when a watermelon came in but I turned it down and said I wanted the Haze one but I would also take a Crimson/Slate one if that was first to arrive.

I got very anxious and looked at buying a production Ultra and have the 103' upgrade etc. but the cost soon approached the SE CVO price. I looked at trade in values and even called several dealers about buying a 2005 SEEG. Some 2005s were used and they still were asking $5,000 above MSRP!
Finally on Dec 22nd I got the call and rapidly went down to sign for the Haze i have now. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
It took about a week to add the extras I wanted so last Friday I got delivery of my bike. I have only got 300 miles on it so far but I think it's the best bike I have ever ridden! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I would say unless you just can't afford a FLHTCUSE please be patient, it is definately worth the wait.
