US NAVY SILENT DRILL TEAM

About three years ago, the US Navy Ceremonial Guard Silent Drill Team was invited to compete in an International Tattoo in Norway .

The Navy competed against military units from all over NATO and won first place.

My daughter did 4 years of drill in HS with a NJROTC unit. They got to spend 3-4 days with the Navy Guard in Annapolis. Very cool.

Her team was good enough to make the Nationals one year in Pensacola. And her high school unit used real Garand's, not the wood parade rifles!

IIRC the Garand's are 9.5 without ammo or the bayonet. We had 2 cadets that could spin a rifle so fast is was almost scary.
