Its also mentioned in a bike mag im gonna get hold of today.

http://hellforleathermagazine.com/2009/11/atk-hyosung-to-collaborate-on.html

ATK, Hyosung to collaborate on bike range for Harley dealers
Who needs Buell when you have ATK/Hyosung? The tiny American dirt bike maker will partner with the Korean giant to produce a range of small-capacity street bikes that will be distributed at US Harley dealers. Discussing the announcement, ATK CEO Frank White said, "[Hyosung] will send parts from Korea, and we will integrate those with our own American and European parts. These American-Utah-assembled motorcycles will be targeted to be sold through a select group of Harley-Davidson dealers who are looking for a quality smaller-displacement motorcycle." The bikes will be sold under the ATK brand name.

So what does Harley think of all this? "The management at Harley-Davidson knows what we are doing with some of their dealers, said White. "However, they do not endorse our activities in any way." Surely the lack of objection counts as tacit approval or at least throwing ailing dealers a potentially profitable bone during hard times.

Interesting.  Presented as something a "few" dealers on doing basically on the side.  Wonder if there are many dealer agreements with language objecting to non HD models at the facilities?

A few here in Wisconsin have started to sell other brands. One big dealer in Milwaukee started selling
scooters, one up north started selling Moto G's. Both are big HD dealers. I've seen a lot of smaller
ones, doing it for years.  One in northern Michigan, sells probably 5/6 brands, plus quads, etc.

The dealer that I bought my new 2010 SEUC from is a multi brand dealer. They sell several brands and also ATV,s. They are all in the same building but you have to go thru an "archway" that kind of seperates the Harley from the others. That dealer is in the town of Greeley Colorado, just 40 miles north of Denver.
