Bought a new 2010 SEUC, and had the dealer install Rinehart True duals, SERT, and Stage 1 A/C. Had the dealer install because they could dyno the bike after install. Have owned other bikes never had one dyno tuned, so this may be perfectly normal. In my excitement I failed to check the odometer at the dealer, when I got it home, had to trailer because of the weather, I noticed on the dyno sheet, miles in 3 and miles out 125. Went out and looked at the odometer and it read 125 miles. So they ran the bike for 122 miles on the dyno. I am going to call the dealer and ask, but just wondered if this was normal for a dyno run.

Since this was a brand new bike with only 3 miles on the clock, another possibility could be that the tech did at least a 50 mile "break-in" routine before hammering it.  When done properly, breaking in a new engine on a dyno can be very effective.

My dealer told me I couldn't believe anything I read on the internet. Especially from a CVO forum.

YEAH, especially if it's concerning birthdays.

Top of the piston is round. The skirt isnt.

Is it advisable to dyno a new motor?

I was told as long as the motor is brought up to proper running temp and all parts are warmed up everything is ok. If a motor is started placed directly on the dyno and pulled that can cause damage. According to the tech at J&L HD the Pistons are a little oblong and when they warm up they form the correct shape.

..."one hour on the dyno"... 122 miles.  There's your answer.  At least you know it has top end!   :P

Thank you for the clarification. I didn't intend to spread bad info, just trying to report what I heard, sorry for the confusion.
