FLTRSE4 on the way?
« on: December 01, 2009, 09:07:46 PM »

Looking for a antenna relocation bracket and found this in the 2010 HD Parts and Accessories Catalog:
Page 626, letter F, Antenna relocation kit, "Fits 09-later FLHX, FLTR, and FLTRX ( except FLTRSE3/4 and ...)."
Whats up? Mid year model? My dealer does not know, but the January Dealer show is coming. I think they slipped
and did not intend to print this.

Early on there may have been thoughts of running the SERG for 2 years.  Somebody may not have purged the parts catalog 100%.

My Dealer said there is a mid year intro because they are only building the cvo Fat Bob for the first half of the year. He heard a Black Bike but thought it might be another Ultra. I beleive it may be a Black Ultra-ized RoadGlide CVO FLTRSE4.

Makes sense, to me, that an "Ultra" type Road Glide would be unveiled at the Jan show, that would explain the 2010 fairing revisions. I cant see HD making room for Ultra type lowers just to sell them in the  P&A catalog.

a resurrection of the tour-glide is in order.  then we'll see all the converts. :orange:  the fixed fairing design of the TR is superior :coolblue:

I have been speculating about this bike for a while now.  Recall that in the initial CARB report it listed a FLTRU but then the report was amended and that designatin was dropped.  I just hope the economy has no tanked it.  Sure would be nice to be able to get a RG with all the ultra equipment already onboard, way cheaper than the way I have done it in the past.

What was the 2010 fairing revisions?

I ask as the 2010 part number carries all the way back to 1998 (B revision around 06ish).

Fairing is the same, the supports from the engine guard have changed and the front bracket that bolts to the frame has changed. The 10 fairing is lifted up and the angle changed. the new engine guard brackets are taller and curved to clear the ultra style lowers.
