FatShotz slip ons and tuner.
« on: February 14, 2010, 11:28:12 AM »

Has anyone had any experience with the FatShotz slip on's. I don't think there would be any performance gain but I like how they look and would probably do tuner to help.

One more question. Why are HD'S Screamin Eagle mufflers approved for every bike but Screamin eagles?

I guess if your SE bike comes with SE mufflers, the MoCo doesn't think you will be changing them out for SE mufflers?  In other words, instead of being precisely accurate, maybe the MoCo tried to be logical and only list those bikes that would actually BE UPGRADING to SE mufflers.  I don't have any other explanation.

I have asked the same thing to my local serivce manager (ole friend) and they cannot find a reason it would be listed like that in the parts catalog.  I just had then put on this week and love em.  The catalog has about a 5 hp increase with the slip ons.

I kept asking and finally found someone to give me a credible answer. Bruce at SuperTrapp(who makes the Fatshotz) told me the higher displacement engines on the cvo's will not pass the decibel requirements the gov't requires. They are ok to use and work as good or better than stock they are just not politically correct.
