So Grizzly, since you have the complete system have you had a chance to test it and what is your reaction? Most so far as you can see are not impressed with it. THANKS.

Aktung, don't get me wrong.  I really like the HogTunes system and I think it cranks out the tunes quite well.  It's only the lower fairing setup that just doesn't seem to be adding any extra punch to the setup.

To be honest, I don't understand why some are saying that the lower speakers are useless?  :confused5:

I'm very happy with my complete HOGTUNES 8 speaker set-up.  Even at highway speeds I can hear (and sometimes feel, if I have it cranked) the bass pumping out of the lowers.  I chose to have mine professionally installed rather than attempt it myself, and possibly an adjustment is in order for some of the others???  :nixweiss:

I convinced a couple of friends to have them installed, however one of them originally did not include the lowers.  He road my bike and the other friend's and noticed the difference right a way, so then installed the lowers on his and now they both love their new sound system as well!  :2vrolijk_21:

Good luck with your decision.

Since I already have my outer fairing off, I think I'm going to check out the hookup on the lowers and see if there is any reason they aren't performing well.  I didn't do the install, but rather had a dealer do it.  I can't imagine what they could have done incorrectly, since it looks like a pretty simple install.  I can't remember why it seemed like a good idea for them to install them at the time, but I assume I must have had a reason.  Maybe I have a bad amp.  I'll check it out and if I need to, I'll contact Pez.

If you are using the HT amp with the HT's fairing lower speaker kit, and the under tour pak HK amp, these special HT installation instructions for CVO's may be useful to you.

That's a great idea and I'm sure Pez will look after you real well.

Possibly when installing the amp level setting was not changed?  :nixweiss:

I know about the vid and special CVO instructions.  I previously found where they didn't move the switch to the position suggested.  I'm going to check it all over, hopefully this weekend.

Simple install problem is getting the speakers out of phase, e.g having the leads reversed between them. Positive to positive and negative to negative on one speaker and positive to negative, negative to positive on the other.

This will work but will reduce the bass response.

Either way, mine is installed correctly and I wouldn't add the fairing speakers if I was to do it again.

Thanks Duane.  I'll check that out also.
