FLHXSE2 AMPS
« on: May 13, 2011, 07:43:44 AM »

Does anyone know for sure if the FLHXSE2 amps are on back order? If they are, does HD have a search option to look to see if another dealer might have one in their inventory? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if they're back ordered but if your local dealership doesn't have it, they should be able to do a search and tell you who does.  They have the ability to do that with motorcycles, parts and clothes.  A good dealership that is customer service oriented will offer to do that for you. :2vrolijk_21:

My dealer has used the search function several times for me and has even given me the name of another local dealer who has what I needed.

YES, he is the MAN!!!!! Sad that I can't say that about my local stealer. They insist tan none of the other dealers listed will give up an amp. He says it's due to the fact that the old amp has to be returned to HD with in 30 days.

So to fast foward, I'm picking up the bike tonight after it sat at the dealer for 12 days, no working radio, bad clutch master cylinder, first service and the only time I've talked to the dealer is when I call him!

I'm gonna add this as a caveat, I purchased the bike from a dealer that was 200 miles away and bought the extended warranty's from the local dealer.  :nervous: >:( :(

Same bull my dealer told me, 14 days sitting at San Jacinto HArley over here in Houston with an amp issue. Mine was cutting out when the engine was NOT running????? Strange but working great now.

Service guy says he had to call Harley, Harley says call United Radio, United Radio says call Harmon Kardon, Harmon Kardon says call Harley....  :nixweiss:
