Don't me so surprised.  A lot of parts are made in other countries.  I think the forks used to be made in Japan.  Not sure if they still are.

When I picked up my 2011.5 there were made in china tags hanging out of tour pack told salesman they should put those on bottom. LOL HD must not care anymore if everyone knows some parts are made over seas

For those who have not taken their bike completely apart, motor and all you are in for a shocker if you ever do, especially if you have a phobia about parts made in Asia.
