Do all the 110 CVOs have cats?
« on: March 17, 2010, 02:49:13 PM »

Looking at maps from TTS, there is no distinction between the Big Twin DBW 2008-2009 maps, which would leave me to believe either that the 110 engine has always come from the factory with a Catalytic Converter, or that the flow restriction is negligible.

Or that the intake and cams are so bad, you could stuff a potato in the exhaust and it wouldn't matter.

The CVO 110 engine, aka the "heatilator", has always had catalytic converters.  The location may be different, depending on the model year and the bike, but they all have them.  At least until some enterprising soul deletes them, thus fouling the air and hastening the end of the world as we know it.   ???

Jerry,

I was under the impression that my '08 SERK did NOT have cats in the mufflers unless it was a CAL bike.  I know in '09 at least all touring 110's had CAT's, can't say about the "B" motors CVO's.

I never heard of any of the old guys, the 110 guys that bought '07's, but I may be wrong.

All CVO Baggers from 06 through 08 103 and 110 came from the factory with Cats in the inlet end of the muffler, For 09-10 HD moved them to the Headpipe.

Didn't know that... Actually never looked.   :nixweiss:
