Lower part of the lower looks like you would not get much protection from rain & such

If you have to paint them anyway why not buy a used set off e bay and get the real thing, I agree the price is decent but I also do not like the lack of rain protection from the looks of them.

I would be looking more for reducing buffeting especially on the SERG.
