I went with the HD because of the matching the hardware on the other side of the trunk

I have installed both, I have the ones from DickP on the Grey Ghost.
Here's what I see comparing the two. The HD ones are stamped metal, made in china. they have an offset bracket change.
the ones from Dick are solid metal CNC'd and chromed and made right here in the USA.
my choice, you can guess.
$50 difference, way worth it to me

Do you think all the other hardware on these Harleys were made from machine shops in the U.S. ?

Just added the HD hinges onto my 09 CVO.  They look great and work just as well.  A buddy gave me a hand and we had a good time work on the bike.  I also install Anderson's tour pack relocation kit and a 12V outlet in the tour pak.  I am, should I say my wife is, ready to ride to the dragon this week.
