Saddlemen Road Sofa
« on: April 05, 2010, 01:19:13 PM »

Anyone every tried one of these "Saddlemen Road Sofa".  I have a FLHTCUSE4 and trying to decide on a Mustang, Saddlemen Sofa or a 2008 CVO seat.  Anyway I have never tried the Saddlemen and was curious what others thought about this seat.  Thanx for the replies.

I've never seen one here in Wisconsin. I've had Mustang, and always loved them.

I have one on my 2008 Ultra Classic and the wife and I think it is a very good seat.  Saddlemen will let you try one for a short period of time and if you don't like it send it back.  At least they used too and I think they still do.

I had Road Sofas on my previous Road Glides.  The seats are quite large but very comfortagle.  Was able to ride well over 100 miles without seat fatigue.  Loved those seats.  Got one for my SERG 09.  Same comfort, but again quite large.  The seat didn't go well with the SERG 09.  It looked completely out of place - its high profile and width was not complementary to the sleek lines of the SERG.  Although I still have the Road Sofa, I changed to a custom-made C&C seat.  It's very unlikely that I'll put the Road Sofa back on the SERG.

Best regards,

I am considering one for my '05 Ultra that currently has a Corbin Dual Tour. I called Saddleman last week to get some info because I am 6'4" and don't want to sit high. The person told me to try an Explorer. He told me both are equally as comfortable and it basically ended up with which I liked the looks of better. Sure would like to sit on one before dropping $650.

If you do get one please post your thoughts on the comfort. I have tried the Road Zeppelin from HD and it was OK but HUGE. The Corbin is good for about 150 miles but then I need a break every hour or so.
