I've got a LiftMaster and mine works fine.  It also worked with the Genie too...

Two different possible interpretations of his question.

1) Will the HD branded receiver when wired to some other brand of GDO operate that opener?

or

2) Will the HD branded transmitter on the bike wirelessly operate some other brand of GDO?

The Harley receiver wired to a GDO motor should run anything.  It's no different than any other wired remote opener.  As for the latter, there have been a couple of reports of the Harley xmitters working with some brands of GDO wirelessly.  It's been intermittent though.  You'd have to go through the training procedure for your GDO (not the Harley receiver) and just see if it worked with yours.

Worked with my Liftmaster and works with the replacement Craftsman GDO just fine.

Finally read it and installed mine today, love it, sure is going to beat getting off the bike and digging for the opener.  Good luck with yours.  While I had the fairing off I went ahead and installed red led lights with 4 bulbs in the gages, looks awesome and you can actually see them at night.

Go to this guys site on ebay, I bought mine Friday and got them Monday, fast shipper out of Texas.  Great price, he has 50 pages of LED's on e bay so you will have to hunt after you buy the first set for the second at the same price.  Deducts $1.50 off of shipping for 2 sets.
