How do I get my alarm code????
« on: September 01, 2010, 10:45:29 PM »

When I bought my street glide cvo, the dealer never gave me the code for the alarm.  Do I have to go back the the dealer that I bought the bike from, or can I take it to any HD dealer?  Any info would help.  After reading some of the problems people have had with the factory alarm, I don't want to get stuck.

Call the dealership that you bought it at.  They usually set all their bikes up with the same initial code, then it's up to you to change it.

Not sure this is exactly it, but if you have your key fob with U:
1.) Turn ignition switch "On, Off, On, Off, On" Then:
2.) Push Left Blinker, Right Blinker, Left Blinker and hold in while pushing right blinker.
  Digital read-out should indicate code.

Pull out the Owner's Manual and look in the index under security and you will find a section that tells you how to set your own pin as well as how to read the existing pin.

BTW, the older models had a cardboard wallet card with the manual that had instructions for enterning the pin manually when needed, and an area for you to write your pin.  You might want to make sure you have one filled out with your pin and tucked safely in your wallet, just in case.  I'm assuming H-D still provides those cards.

I tried this on my '08 SERK and could never get the procedure to work.  Haven't tried it on the SEUG yet, though.  I would like to set my own alarm code.
