I ran the ME880's on my '09 CUSE, they lasted about 5K, rubber is way too soft.

That doesn't sound too good either.

I think the 408 is just the 407 mounted backwards.  Probably wouldn't be able to find someone to mount it backwards :huepfenlol2:.
 

And NO...I wasn't really planning to do that for all the safety nazis who are gonna jump on that with all the safety warnings.

I just ordered a set of Metzler 880's.  I was aslo afraid of the low milage and the soft compound, but they do ride so much nicer than the Dunlops.  After talking to Boatman, I was willing to give them another try. He did say that these tires have a much less stiifer sidewall and that the rear should have 48psi cold if you want to get some good wear out of them. 42 in the front. I'm gonna try it and hope that works.    We shall see....
