Re-Chroming
« on: April 23, 2010, 12:07:18 AM »

I was just wandering where everyone gets there old chrome redone?

We have three places here in St Louis that I know of, St Louis Plating, Triangle Plating, and Gateway Plating.

I have heard good and bad about all of them but it seems most of my friends lean toward St Louis Plating.

Any good Re-Chromers out there????

Thanks

Tim

Browns plating in Paducah Ky has done a bunch of work for me when I lived in Ohio, great guys good prices.  They do a lot of work for the Harley Stealers in the surounding area.

Last few pieces I've sent off went to Chrome Masters in Nashville.  Prices were reasonable (compared to what is the norm for such work anymore) and the work was quite nice.  Also important compared to the reputation of many of the chrome shops anymore; the parts came back quickly each time.  Satisfied enough will be sending them more bits in the next couple months.

I have been using Artistic Metal Finishing (AMF) in New Jersey 908-704-9800 for about two years now. The pricing and turnaround time have been very good so far. The chrome quality has been great, the chrome looks different than most of the other chrome I have had done, deeper looking. This is who does the shift linkages for me.

My last batch of parts I took down.
