Check the horn assembly fastener  underneath the chrome cover.

Redline is good Stuff I now have it in all 3 holes.

The above comment may seem a little strange but I have a friend with an 09 SEUC with a noise like yours DB.
It seemed like the engine was coming apart.
We both rode to the Harley shop and let the Tech listen.
He said, "Easy fix, it's the horn".
He took it in and brought it back 15 minutes later, problem gone.
Sometimes it can be simple.
Good answer 10 Ultra!
Hope DB it's the answer for you!

And if you have the finned head bolt bridges-make sure they are tight.

Changed my fluid(s) at 600 miles but that was because neutral was hard to find.

Good luck and let us know what you find..

Well Thanks all for your inputs!! Spent to much time at Harley yesterday and after all said and done they stated that it wasn't anything to be worried about. It only makes the Clacking noise when it gets hot(real hot) Well that was enough for me to hear so I came home and drained all the holes and put Amsoil in the motor and Redline in the Tranny and Primary. I'm not sure I like that 2010 oil filter setup.Pain ITA to get to with lowers on and the oil filter wrench I have won't come off unless you hold your mouth in a certain position. My right hand has all kinds off burns to it from playing with the filter wrench. Much different than my 08. Well let me tell ya that bike runs like my 08 thought about running and what a difference in the noise and operation. I still have a slight clacking noise but I believe as she breaks in it will not be an issue. At least now I know where things are with fluid levels because I noticed that the all 3 holes were low on levels when I drained them. Cant wait to get my HB Intake on this next week and get her into the Dyno. It's hotter than chit on that R/H side. Yesterday was 98 degree's here and on the bike it was 265 degrees. All in All I really love this 2010 SEUC and I wouldn't do it any other way. Let's Ride!!(DB)

I had the same issue with D&D pipe burnin on the jeans leg so I took off the heat sheild on the rear pipe and wrapped it. The heat shield took a little work but got it back on. Result is the Mrs says way less heat on her right leg and I can tell a big difference. And I have stumpy legs to. :huepfenlol2:

Well after the fluid changes bike runs awesome but after she gets hot and I pull into my garage at idle and in neutral she clangs. I'm taking it in Sat for a 1000 mile look over minus fluids and then she goes on the Dyno for 3 hours. Hopefully they can pin point that Clanging.

I also have D & D on my 06. What product did you wrap the pipe with?

Any one found the cure for the hot clanking noise in the primary yet ? MY 2010 SESG sounds like it is going to come apart after a long ride. Makes the noise when hot in neutral, stops when you pull the clutch lever in. Dealer is looking at it today but it was not hot enough to make the noise when I dropped it off. I know it will be "couldn't find a problem". Will be one of those ride it till it breaks things >:(

Well I have learned to put that noise in the back of my mind. I have 1500 miles on the bike now and the noise is starting to subside. I had the bike tuned last Friday and I have to say it runs like Kasper wanted to run. I am very pleased with this 2010 SEUC. That new frame is awesome and it just loves to turn in the curves.

It's called DEI, Design Engineering Inc. 1-800-2649472 or DEIcycle.com. I bought mine from auto parts store. I went to several stores as some had the wrap but not the metal ties and vise versa. I only put it on the rear cylinder part of the pipe and was able to install with pipe on the bike. It smoked for a bit but stopped soon. The wrap that is.
