custom heat shields
« on: June 17, 2010, 05:22:55 PM »

I purchased heat shields for the bike and had a friend who owns a graphics design company wrap them with the color I wanted, well what do you think?

A new HD owner thought/question..... Why would you want to potentially trap the heat near the rear cylinder? I would think it is way better to allow it every way possible to let it radiate away. Am I wacky thinking this?

No, let the rear cylinder cook, not my legs.... They make a little difference,
but not much when it's above 80 degrees!

I purchased the shields from HD and talk to me after you've sat a traffic light for a couple minutes with your engine at 200 degrees. Believe me they help.
