Cams for the 110
« on: March 28, 2010, 11:41:28 AM »

When I was talking to my dealer on my 2010 Black CVO Ultra he was telling me that he would recconnmend me changing the cams. He said he would put the 204's in. Has anyone used the 204's and is there a better cam out there.  I always ride 2 up and will be pulling a trailer sometimes. any input would be helpfull.. Thanks

It would be hard to beat your 255's for the way you ride! A good tune would work wonders, though.

I just had the PRO 110 kit installed in my 2010 SESG and it has the 259E cams in it. VERY pleased so far. NICE lope and great power!

I also have the 259e's with V&H Power Duals. I like the combination and have published my dyno report in that string.

Did these and am very happy together with the Zippers Thunder Max I feel in the butt dyno improved torque, horsepower and it pulls through 6100 rpm! Getting 31-35 mpg if that matters and actually got 45 mpg yesterday coming down the Blewit Pass in WA Cascades mountains.

Sounds like I need to save the money I was going to spend on the extended warranty and use it to buy cams (since this would void my warranty anyway)...I'm impressed with your results!   :2vrolijk_21:

My .02 are big dyno numbers are nice but that 25 degree intake valve closing on the stock 255's is tough to beat and you already paid for it. If your going to void the warranty put a Thundermax on.. you'll be happy! Really woke my 255's up.
But no, I couldn't leave well enough alone and i've spent many thousands on many set ups and my opinion is: If the engines weren't so lean from the factory the stock cams would have really shined. And even though many other cams will out perform it, they always shift the curve to the right.. and my humble opinion is for the street stay to the left. JMHO
