Red security light solid bike won't turn over
« on: July 04, 2010, 12:08:43 PM »

Got ready to load bike after being at the beach for a week. Turned switch on to wait for fuel pump light to go off, fuel light went off after one second and red security light went solid and bike would not turn over. 05 seeg. Any ideas on how to fix this without taking to stealer. Checked fuses and unplugged the security to check for water or corrosion, none found. Plugged back in but still have solid red light. Any help would be appreiated.  Tony

Replace the battery in your security FOB.  That's probably all that's needed.

I had that happen on my 06 ultra glide.   Middle of a parking lot in Rapid City baseball stadium.  Disconnected the battery then reconnected.  Problem went away.

Spoke to my dealer (bike was only 1 week old) and service department.  They said it was operator error.

Needless to say, I did not buy my 2010 from him.  Even wrote HD.  Did not do any good but made me feel better.
