Anyone find a way to make the  Leather Fairing Pouch / Glove Box (P/N 58248-96) work on a CVO yet?  I had one on my non CVO ultra and loved it. I just purchased a three pouch H-D one and hate it.  If anyone knows how to make the Glove Box verson work please let me know.  I really want the glove box back.

Thanks Fired00d.... I have been reading and reading post and only seem to find that people are using either the three pouch or two pouch bags for the CVO's.  I really want to go back to the glove box style and was hoping that someone on here has found a way to make it work.

Thanks though,

I'm just wondering what it is that you could hate about the 3 pouch Harley windshield bag.  I have one and have accompanied 4 of my friends to the dealer to buy them, since they liked mine so much.  The ONLY complaint that I have is it has scuffed the inside of my windshield at each of the top corners of the outer 2 bags.  You can't see it until you pull the bag back a little to clean behind it though.  The bags are not very large, but they sure are convenient for my phone, cigarettes, toll tickets, toll money, and keys.  I put speakers in my lowers, as I realized that I would never use the glove boxes, since they were in too awkward a position to actually access them safely while riding.

I too have speakers in the lowers but I never used them either to store things.  I like the box style better because it was a hard case that kept its form and it was a larger area to stow stuff.  Because of the hard sides it looked nicer and did not seems to become deformed.  I have read that some have drilled out the rivets on the puch style and moved the pouches back to make it fit better, but I have not rivet set to do this once I drill it out.  I also noticed that I had a hard time getting the 3 windshield screws back in once I installed the 3 pouch.  I Also dont care for the leather flaps that are on these pouches either.  The box style does not have the flaps and it just seemed cleaner and better looking.  I know we are kinda forced to use what is offered but I am just not happy with the three pouch system.

I believe this is the bag you mean

And this is how it fits on the FLHTCUSE4, I had added a camara holder on the right side but removed it and a cup holder on the left side. The Screaming Eagle plate is from the Stage 2 air filter I added to my bike but didn't want to use it on the filter. The installation simply required the removal of the two tab located under the bag and a slight bend of the metal bracket that slides between the fairing and windshield. Mind you that I had a handlebar mounted GPS. Not sure if there's enough space for the new dash mounted GPS holder

Are you talking about the rubber tabs?

Yes, they are riveted on. I also added double sided tape just to ensure that the bag didn't wobble, but its not necessary.

Cup holder is attached to the bag itself, whole bag is hard plastic wrapped in leather, it's strong enough to hold a 16oz drink. Notice the chrome bolt on the left side of the bag, this is where I can attach a cam mount.
