Jack,

How much weight are you carrying and how much rear shock air pressure do you ride with?  I'm 185 lbs & BSR is about 115.  I use 30 lbs air single and 45 two up.  No bottoming out at all.  If more air does not work for you there are various threads about Progressive, Suspension Technologies, the new Street Glide shocks and others.  Good luck!

Had the same problem with my 09 SERG  :-\  almost lost the girl friend a couple times.  :confused5: After reading a few of the threads on this forum and some other HD forums I contacted Howard Messner from motorcyclemetal and purchased a pair of Öhlins shocks.  Put them on last week and over the 4th weekend we did a 900 mile trip and the bike handles the bumps (no bottoming out) and rides great !!  Most of my riding is one up about 70% and the rest of the time I have a king tour pak with the girl friend.  Howard is a great guy give him a call 1-954-449-6173 and check out his web site http://www.motorcyclemetal.com

Thanks everyone for your input.... I bought and installed 940's. I took a quick ride last night and was Amazed with the differance........... my stock shocks must have been shot and only using the air part of the shock! Riding this weekend so I will post my feeling on the new shocks after a 1000 miles or so.
Thanks again :)

Now, why didn't I think of that??
Almost any aftermarket shock will be better than the stockers.......keep us posted on your impressions!

I rode about 600 miles this weekend with my GF and tour pac.... 940's felt great! Didn't bottom out once so i am very happy SERG owner now. I adjusted the shocks to the softist setting then painted a mark on the adjuster in-line with the shock mounting bolt to make the adjusting easier for me..... about 6 full turns is perfect for me (200 lbs. ) my GF ( 125 lbs ) and tour pack lightly loaded. I do need to work on the front end this winter though.
