So bud, I guess the seat change was the same for you, raised you up a tad higher than the stock one as well ?

Really thought I had an option with it to get a little lower but I guess not... :(

I did not measure anything exactly, but I cant see how the 08 seat makes you higher unless the stock seat squishes down flat when you sit on it.  The stock seat is much higher in form when it is sitting there without anyone on it. But again I did not measure before I changed it and I guess it could be that the stock seat, even though that trough in the 08 seat seems filled in on the 10 seat, may be less tall overall.  I like the 08 seat better for riding comfort.

I've got a friend I haven't hooked up with in over a year that had an 08 CVO Ultra, don't know why I didn't think about it before, but I'm sure he would let me put his seat on mine and let me see for myself if it helps at all.  After our little trip to Cannon beach this coming weekend that's my plan.  If that doesn't give me a little drop then I guess Corbin's the way I'll go.  I'm not looking for much overall is the thing, just an inch or so from a seat change and Bitubos would be ok I think.  I'm also getting very interested in the Baker F6R reverse kit, that could really be a useful jewel for backing up the Ultra with the wife and gear on it in less than desireable conditions.  Sometimes those are just unavoidable and the room for leg travel on this bike is very limited.

I love this bike once underway and can see now why so many people love the Ultra, especially with the frame change.  I had an 03 ultra for a few months a couple years ago that I sold because I didn't like it, there's simply no comparison in my humble opinion between the two, I just need to get my feet on the ground a little better and all is good  :2vrolijk_21:

MrED
I have both seats I ride an 08 SEUC 105th and purchased the Hammock seat. I'm also 5'11 with a 32 inch inseam. I have found that on my long trips I like the Hammock alot better but for riding around town I prefer the stock heated seat. The heated stock seat is ok for a couple a hundred miles for me but I would rather set on the Hammock seat for the long haul. Hope I helped you out. Oh yeah the Hammock Seat does set higher than the stock seat.

Strange. I have an 08 SEUC and went to my local HD dealer with the notion of buying the new super reduced seat. I am 5'4" and have already dropped the SEUC with the shorter rear shocks. I was told that the new seats will not fit the '08's because of the frame changes. I assume if the 08 seat will fit a 2010, a 2010 will fit an '08.

Here is a picture of a 2010 SEUC and a Corbin dual tour seat.  The Corbin lowers you about 3/4" and back about 1.5"..
I am 6'1" with 32" in seam.

The Corbin is 2" narrower for the rider and 1" for the passenger.  The stock seat is too soft and no support.  The Corbin has plenty of support and stiff.   Too stiff for my daughter who is the passenger.  I prefer the Corbin, she the stock seat.
With the Corbin, I sit in the bike.  With the stock seat, I sit on the bike.

I would prefer the Corbin to be as wide as the stock seat or at least 1" wider than it is now.   And not as hard for the passenger.

No comparison in quality between the 2 seats.  Corbin weighs twice as much as the stock seat.

On the new Super Reach Seat that is only suppose to fit 09s and newer as told to me by the parts manager, the newer frames are longer and higher. He says that the seat will work on the 08 frames but the super reach seat will set you too far forward to be comfortable. This is what he said not me. I was interested in the new seat until he stated that.
