Did the SE Pro 110 Performance Upgrade, Good or Bad Idea?
« on: July 04, 2010, 04:37:04 PM »

Installed the SE Pro 110 Performance Upgrade Kit to my FTRLSE3 and you can certainly feel the difference but I'm not to sure it was worth the money.  The kit includes high compression 10.5:1 pistons, SE-295E cams, Perfect Fit Pushrods, High Performance Clutch Spring and gaskets.  I already have the heavy breather and the 2" Fulsac baffles and no cat.  The kit was sold with the notion it had the POTENTIAL to produce 114 HP and 110 Lbs Torque.  What it Dyno'd at was 107.6 HP and 113.88 Torque.  I guess the difference I'm feeling is the torque which is great but what else did I need to do to round up the other 6.6 ponies?  The dealer did remove the SE Tuner from the kit because I already have the TTS which brought the cost way down.

So has anyone gone this direction and what kind of results did you achieve?  I've attached my Dyno for your review.

Thanks,  Dave

round up the other 6.6 ponies

Just change the pipe and get it tuned again. A FatCat, Thunderheader, or Rinehart 2 into 1

i did something similar, just not a "kit"...20k miles and i love it

the long cams hit a little later, but they help to cool the motor

Greetings all,

Our shop here in Miami, FL has done 3 of these kits since they came out, our best was this "09 FLTRSE, 105.37 hp, 121.19 torque. We did a cold tire run which showed 123.5 torque.

In addition to the performance increases, all of our owners have indicated the engine seems to run quieter as well, I test rode a  '08 FLHTCUSE that we did kit on and it is appreciably quieter  that before.

labor was $800.00/10 hours, dyno tuning $320.00/4 hours, bike has tru-dual system so you end up tuning cylinders indepently. Owner was thrilled with bike to begin with, fell in love all over again and thanked ups for suggesting project to him.

2 years ago we modified a 110" in a Dyna, for a firefighter from N. Syracuse, N.Y.
130/130 plus. Ran 11.62 in the 1/4 mile in 4th gear, on his first/only pass.
If stepping up to a 110", say from a 96"er, then an Axtell 4 1/8" cylinder kit will yield a swept volume of 117".
Not much more money, and labor is the same as a 110".
Have seen outside dyno's show 138-140 hp, and 140 ftlbs, on the 117", injected. :)

With the upgrade in use for 7K miles, I have to say I am totally satisfied.  It was worth every penny.

There will be large shifts in HP and TQ if the Delphi is pulling timing due due to false ion sense signals or results not expected by the software. Turbulence. Not a pitch that I can fix that just a statement of what I have observed with the 110 heads on motors.
These parameters are not user adjustable but the ion sensing can be switched off. Do this with caution. Real detonation will kill your motor.
