Starting another seat thread..sorry
« on: February 23, 2006, 12:42:18 PM »

OK, I actually like the seat on the SE but I am just too damn short! At 5'8" the bars are just about 1/2 " out of comfy reach. I moved the bars down some, but that was not alot of help, as moving down...moves them farther away. So...anyone got and thoughts or ideas? Maybe someone equally as height challenged find a seat that works great? Help!
Thanx!

PS (Different bars sounds like a poor option..only because I think everything will have to be changed out for longer...cluch, brake, throttle...yada yada yada)

Ultra,

Try this one.  The bikes with the console cover have to use the Road King versions.

I sat on twolanes SEEG he has the Wild One 575 Bars Which he said all he had to change out is the Brake Cable.
He also has a corbin seat which was hard at first but the longer I sat on it the more I liked it.
I am 5'10" and the 2.5" pull back made that knife in the middle of my back after about 50 miles go away...(had them on my RK) I am thinking of looking at the 575 bars as well to go on my ultraSE if I can't get use to the stock bars, but as you said its a lot of trouble to change out all that stuff. I am about to get use to the stock bars so well see but that would b my choice. Go to this address for for info http://www.wild1inc.com/575.html
