Anyone with experience with either of the new HD nav systems?
Also, anyone with experience installing Garmin, Magellen or other systems on a SEEG?

Any and all info helps. Thanks in advance

Use the search tool (above) and search by the various manufacturer names or just "GPS."  It's ground that's been covered a lot so you should find lots of good information.

The GPS works fine.  The mounting bracket is poorly engineered.  The contacts foul up from the vibration.  There is a mount on the fairing; three holes to hold it that has contacts.  Then you have a cradle with contacts for the mount.  Then the GPS has contacts to mate with the cradle.  It's all hard plastic.  Too many parts that shake and break power connections.

Save your $$ on the Harley GPS.  Go to http://gpsnow.com/ and you can get the Garmin Quest, the exact same thing for $369.  It is not black and it does not have the "Harley" Logo.  If you look down the page there is the "GARMIN Quest Motorcycle mount with integrated power and audio cable (010-10610-00) $72.50 - $59.95"  This bolts to you handle bar and you can remove the mount in less than 2 minutes.  All that is left on the handle bar is the rubber coated ball.  Go to you local auto parts store buy a cigarret adaptor  plug so you can plug the unit into your lighter socket "No holes in the fairing". If you buy the leather case (the car adaptor comes with the unit) it will cost you about $500, way better than the Harley $800.  I used this same item last year on a 2000mi 8-state in 8-daze trip it worked just fine.  Got us out of some sitiuations........found that you need to believe the GPS.......   There is also a web page that has a list of all the HD shops throughout the us that can be loaded into the Garmin.  http://www.moccsplace.com/images/harley/gpsdealers/

Stay away from the  HD GPS, I've replace the cradle three times due to excessive vibration, and the main unit twice. and the sound wire once. Coming up to the end of a one year warranty in June.
It guides you well, easy to read, but there R&D sucks....
This will be a  Harley Davidson paper weight very soon
